George Williams (1937-2010) was the WBTV news department's first full-time African-American photographer. Over 25 years, he demonstrated his professionalism by winning numerous photo journalism awards. His friend Curt Peters wrote, "To all those who met George, he left an indelible impression and a lasting influence. His co-workers, too many to name, all owe George a debt of gratitude. His legacy will always influence friends, co-workers, family, and
associates."
He was one of the best.
