When the going gets rough... Another Arthur Smith location shoot, this one at Hugh Morton's Grandfather Mountain. By now Jefferson Productions had its own crew and equipment. Naturally the producer, more likely than not, would choose the cragiest crag on which to place the 100-pound camera, its operator and the talent. That's Maggie Griffin of the Crackerjacks, lip synching the words to a pre-recorded song being played back on a speaker in front of the camera. Morton was a great friend of Jefferson Pilot Broadcasting, and would cooperate in every way to accomodate us.
